Comme des Garçons, Collaged

Artwork by James Thomas

British-born designer, illustrator and artist James Thomas began his career in the fashion houses of London, Paris and New York City after graduating from the Royal College of Art in London. He moved to the US to design for the Calvin Klein women’s collection and subsequently went on to work as creative director for several fashion brands. James expanded his expres- sive modern sensibility to art and illustration, and his trademark cut-paper works have been published globally in books, magazines and exhibitions.

A-M Journal commissioned Thomas to create a series of collages celebrating six seminal looks from the subversive, fantastical and highly influential Japanese cult fashion label, Comme des Garçons. it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
